Snake Bench is an outdoor movable bench, expressly designed for young people who love to sit in an informal way on the benches of public parks. The current benches don’t satisfy the demand of these users. The “Snake Bench” project interacts with the environment, exploiting the already existing structures (benches and/or natural elements), facilitates the privacy creating new spaces, permits to be at one’s ease thanks to an ergonomic backrest, but specially people are free to decide how to sit. Guys can sit, stand up, lie down or only lean on it, according their preferences. The whole project is designed with the same wood used in the EcoPallet production of Palm Company with whom we cooperated closely. For the junctions we have exclusively used studs, hangers and hooks, utilised by the same production processes of the company.
